What is an NFT?

An NFT is a Non Fungible Token, which is a cryptographic and virtual element on the blockchain with unique identification codes that distinguish them from each other which means that you can’t copy them.

More basically, an NFT is a digital certificate that gives you access to digital content (but not only) and establishes you are the owner of that content.

How to get a NFT?

It is possible to get an NFT from Atlanticus Music in 3 different ways:

• You may participate in auctions in which only the floor price is set and you can bid up for a specific period.
• You can simply purchase one using your Atlanticus Music wallet, your usual wallet, or a FIAT payment (i.e. by Credit Card).
• You can participate in the giveaways and the different promotional operations offered by the Atlanticus Music Marketing team (invitation contests, enigma, etc).

When one of our artist’s NFT is officially released, the easiest way to get it will be to go buy it on our website.

Where can I find my wallet address?

Open your Metamask extension in Chrome, and click on your name at the top of it, it will be automatically pasted into your notepad.

How can I verify that my acquisition is in the blockchain?

You can check by copying your wallet address in the search bar at www.bscscan.com . You will see the latest interaction you authorized with your wallet, and you can easily spot the one related to your acquisition.

In case you do not immediately see it, you can search at bscscan.com the following address: 0x0a3BAf84427357136Abca676Ab0060A90bf99A79 which is the track contract on which your NFT was minted.

Try to find your wallet address in the “To:” column and it would normally be your transaction spotted in the blockchain.

How can I add BNB to my Wallet to buy an NFT?

You can go to your usual Crypto-exchange to put additional BNB in your wallet.

We recommend using MoonPay.com (with some KYC steps though) to deposit BNB to your wallet, thanks to your credit card.

How can I display my Atlanticus Music NFT in my Metamask?

For some reason, this is only possible with the Metamask mobile app.

Which protocol is Atlanticus Music on?

The project is using the BSC (for BNB Smart Chain) blockchain, which is an independent layer1 blockchain.

It is functioning on a Proof of Stake (PoS) basis, which means that there are fewer validators of the blockchain, diminishing just a glinch the level of security but uncomparible when it comes to:

• Speed (100x faster transactions per second);
• Gas fees (the price you pay for writing down on the blockchain your operation);
• Carbon Footprint (less validator means less computer power to deploy).

How can I pay for my purchase on Atlanticus Music?

All prices on Atlanticus Music are displayed in USD. However, final transactions are being made in BNB (which is the coin used on the BSC).

When you are buying a NFT on Atlanticus Music, you have to pay (in addition to the stated price of the NFT) the transaction fee, which is necessary to pay for the writing your transaction on the blockchain.

However, rest reassured, the transaction fee, also known as gas fee, should be minimal (a few dollars max). This gas fee is due in BNB since we are using the BNB Smart Chain.

To facilitate the onboarding of any new person to the blockchain world, we have developed a solution to pay by Credit Card (using Stripe payment solutions) in USD or Euro. Once you have cleared your payment, we will transfer the NFT to your designated Wallet.

When is the Mint? Or is it only Secondary Sale?

Due to very low gas fees, we decided to let the Artist do his/her part by letting his/her do the Mint (the creation of the NFT per se).

Thereforce the first purchase you do is directly among the NFT own by the Artist as a Primary Sale.

What is a Wallet?

When you first log in to Atlanticus Music, we will create a wallet for you.

If you already have a wallet, you can also connect yours.

A wallet is the cornerstone of your crypto adventures, it would be the deposit of your cryptocurrencies to buy NFTs and it will also be the vault of your NFTs and other assets.

If you don’t own one, you can create one on MetaMask as it is currently the most used service on the Blockchain.

Atlanticus Music is a marketplace dedicated to buying and selling unreleased music tracks, and many other exclusive advantages, starting from world-renowned and emerging artists.

Artists share more than just music: from digital autographs to exclusive items of merchandising or lifetime backstage access, artists are reshaping through their NFT the relationships with their fans. Every NFT purchased on Atlanticus Music will be showcased as a beautifully-designed visual card encompassing the music track, a picture of the artist who crafted the audio track, and a description of the exclusive additional items. Our NFTs are issued in a limited number of exclusive copies. There are currently 3 levels of rarity: Rare (- 1,000 copies), SuperRare (- 100) and Unique (1:1).

What am I entitled to when I buy a NFT?

Atlanticus Music is an NFT marketplace for music. Therefore, each NFT we put on sale is one or several pieces of music (and more items) from one of the artists in collaboration with us.

All of this comes in the form of a card containing the piece of music, the exclusive items, a visual of the artist’s profile picture, and a cover of the piece.

When you buy an NFT, you have access to the content of the card: private access to the content (the tracks and the exclusive items).

Atlanticus Music is a marketplace, so you can resell the card to the community on Atlanticus Music (secondary market).

For now, when you buy an NFT, you are NOT entitled to the revenues generated by the track, nor to the revenues of the publishing rights attached to the track.

However, it is likely that if the track is used, for example in an advertisement, the value of your NFT may increase over time, as it has been exposed to a wider audience.

Artists who agree to publish some of their work on Atlanticus Music know that we aim for exclusivity and unpublished items. We want tracks that have a story to tell, so we ask artists to refrain from publishing the tracks elsewhere, especially on streaming platforms or at a digital retailer.

We know there is an ongoing debate about NFTs and exclusivity. We believe that the owner of an NFT should be proud to be one of the few who have access to the track and its metadata.

However, some people would like to share this pride (we have also features coming for this) and might publish a pirate version of the track.

⚠️ Please don’t do this as these are still copyrighted tracks.

We decided to give up the old DRM method to prevent illegal sharing of the tracks, as it would not have been against the convenience we want for the end-user.

In our Terms of Service, you have approved to diligently use your listening rights. Please respect this commitment.

Is there a secondary market?

Yes. Atlanticus Music has created its marketplace to be able to buy/sell tracks directly on it.

We are currently working on opening the resale of your NFTs on other popular marketplaces. We will let you know as soon as we have clinched a deal with those players.

What kind of rarity can we find on the NFTs?

There will be 3 types of rarity: Rare below 1,000 copies, Super Rare below 100 copies, and unique (well, you know 1:1).
